What is the Goldgater SmartViewer?
The Goldgater SmartViewer is an interactive 3D viewer for jewelry. It allows customers to explore rings and other jewelry pieces directly in the browser — in real time, without installing an app.
What can customers do with the viewer?
Customers can rotate the jewelry, change materials, switch stones, view variations, use presentation modes and experience selected models in augmented reality, depending on the setup of the individual project.
Do customers need to install an app?
No. The viewer runs directly in the web browser and can be embedded into existing websites, online shops or product pages.
Can the viewer be integrated into an existing website or shop?
Yes. The SmartViewer is designed to be embedded into existing websites or online shops, typically as an iframe or product-page integration.
Do we need existing 3D models?
Not necessarily. If suitable 3D data already exists, it can often be prepared for real-time use. If no 3D model is available, a digital twin can be created from references, CAD data, images or technical information.
What is a digital twin?
A digital twin is a real-time optimized 3D version of a physical jewelry piece. It is created to look convincing in the browser while remaining lightweight enough for smooth online interaction.
Is the viewer only for rings?
No. The main focus is currently on rings, especially because of configuration, stone variations and try-on scenarios. However, the technology can also be adapted for other jewelry pieces and product presentations.
Can the viewer show different materials and stones?
Yes. Metal colors, stones and selected model variations can be configured interactively. The exact options depend on the product and the prepared 3D setup.
How does a project usually start?
A project usually starts with a short review of the product, available images or 3D data, and the desired viewer functions. Based on that, the required digital twin, configuration options and integration approach can be defined.
